The Gun Republic is set in the fantasy world of Terrata. The Republic of Runar is at the precipice of victory in the war against Belaria. Lucius Belisarius, a conscript in the Runaran Army, faces the ordeal of a new kind of warfare, one that uses the recently invented weapon known as the gun. As he struggles to survive in a deadly trench battle, he witnesses the horrors these new weapons cause and comes to realize that they are changing everything, from war to the very culture of which he is part.
